The floor terminal gives production workers a focused CDI imaging view without opening the full Flexoworks application. The browser is paired with the organization once. Each worker then enters a personal four-digit PIN, so every completion and problem report is attributed to the right person.
A floor PIN opens only the restricted floor application. Email, Google, password, and email-code login remain available for the full Flexoworks application.
If the device is not paired yet, follow Set up a new floor terminal.

Sign in with your PIN

The locked screen shows the terminal name and location. Enter your four-digit PIN on the touch keypad, a physical keyboard, or a USB number pad. Flexoworks checks the PIN automatically after the fourth digit.

Each worker unlocks the paired terminal with a personal four-digit PIN.

Any active team member with floor access enabled can sign in on any paired terminal in the same organization. Workers do not need the CDI Operator function to use a floor terminal. After login, the header shows:
  • the terminal name and location;
  • CDI queue and Last 24 hours navigation;
  • the current connection state and worker name;
  • Full app for normal Flexoworks login;
  • Lock / switch for ending only the current worker session.
Select Lock / switch whenever you leave the device or hand it to another worker.

Work from the CDI queue

The CDI queue contains active, non-archived jobs that:
  • are in Imaging;
  • belong to the terminal’s configured location; and
  • have at least one incomplete plate production line.
The most recently updated jobs appear first. Each card shows the job number and name, customer, due date, remaining line count, remaining plate quantity, and warnings for missing dimensions or material.

The CDI queue shows eligible jobs at this terminal's location, with the most recently updated first.

Search by job name or by a complete displayed job number such as J-0042. Select Refresh when you need an immediate update. The queue also refreshes automatically while the page is visible and when you return to its browser tab.

Search the queue by job name or formatted job number.

If a card says Dimensions required or Material required, the job remains visible but the affected line cannot be completed. Ask the office team to add the missing production data in the full application.

Review a job

Select Open job to see the focused production view. It includes:
  • job number, name, customer, location, and due date;
  • production instructions from the job notes;
  • every plate production line, including completed lines;
  • attached job files and their extracted PDF metadata.
Mounting-carrier and design production lines are not part of the current CDI floor workflow.

The job view keeps instructions, plate production lines, and files together.

Complete an entire production line

For an incomplete line:
  1. Confirm its dimensions, quantity, material, and line notes.
  2. Choose CDI 0° or CDI 90° clockwise.
  3. Confirm the equipment. The terminal’s default equipment is selected first when available; you can choose any equipment at the same location.
  4. Select Mark entire line complete.
  5. Confirm that the entire displayed quantity is complete.
Dimensions, material, and equipment are required. If no equipment is configured at the location, an organization administrator must add it before the line can be completed.

A second confirmation prevents an accidental whole-line completion.

The floor terminal completes the production line’s entire quantity. It does not record partial quantities, and completing a line does not advance the job to its next production stage.
Flexoworks records the worker, terminal, equipment, CDI orientation, and time. The completed line displays that attribution immediately.
Completed plate production line with orientation, equipment, worker, completion time, and Undo action

A completed line shows who completed it, where, how, and when.

Undo a recent completion

Undo completion is available for two minutes only to the original worker on the original terminal. It returns the line to incomplete without erasing the audit history. After two minutes, ask an organization administrator to open the job in the full application. The administrator can correct the equipment or orientation, or mark the line incomplete, and must record a reason.

Open files and inspect metadata

Every attached job file appears in the floor view. Select Open file to open a temporary, secured download. Expand PDF metadata to inspect available production information:
  • dimensions and page count;
  • creator, producer, created date, and modified date;
  • inks and layers;
  • PDF, PDF Native, and FlexRip versions.

Workers can inspect extracted PDF metadata without changing the source file.

Floor access is read-only for files. Workers cannot upload, delete, rename, or edit files or file metadata from the terminal.

Report a production problem

Select Report a problem on the job, describe what is blocking production, and submit the note. Flexoworks creates an internal job comment attributed to the current worker for the office team.
Report a production problem dialog with a note describing what is blocking production

A problem report sends a clear internal note to the office team.

Reporting a problem does not complete a line, change the job stage, or remove the job from the CDI queue.

Review the last 24 hours

Open Last 24 hours to see up to 100 current completions recorded from this terminal during the previous 24 hours. Each row shows the job, line details, orientation, equipment, worker, and completion time.
Last 24 hours page with recent CDI production-line completions and attribution

Recent work shows current completions from this terminal during the previous 24 hours.

The original worker can also undo a completion from this list while the two-minute undo window remains open.

Connection, offline work, and automatic locking

The header reports Online, Offline, or Reconnecting. A temporary network or server problem does not remove the terminal’s pairing. Flexoworks reconnects and renews the short terminal session automatically.
Floor terminal showing an Offline banner and disabled production actions

The offline banner keeps the saved pairing visible while write actions are unavailable.

The current page may remain visible offline, but the first release does not store offline changes. Completion, undo, and problem-report actions are disabled, and new file downloads may fail. Wait until the header says Online before changing production data. For privacy, Flexoworks locks the worker after 15 minutes without real keyboard, touch, or pointer activity. A worker session also ends after 12 hours even if the terminal remains active. Neither lock removes the terminal pairing; enter a PIN again to continue.

Open the full Flexoworks application

On the PIN screen, select Open full Flexoworks. While a worker is signed in, select Full app in the header instead. Either action opens the normal email, Google, password, or email-code login. Flexoworks first locks the floor worker and clears any existing full-app session. Internet access is required for this secure switch. After finishing in the full application, select Return to floor in the sidebar. Flexoworks logs out the full-app user, returns to the still-paired floor terminal, and asks for a PIN.
